THE “LOOK”

Think editorial, fashion, cool, and expressive.
We’ll focus on interesting angles and poses that show your personality rather than traditional kicks and tricks. Come prepared with a few pose ideas that feel like you.
Create an outfit that reflects your style.
Add props, sunglasses, jackets, hats, whatever you feel makes it you!
DETAILS
Please come hair ready.
If you choose to curl your hair, please curl away from the face. Pull the curler away from your face and roll back. This allows the hair to flow nicely when we add the fan.
We will have a fan available during the shoot to open the hair and give you that Beyonce moment.
Please bring a brush and some extra spray so we can adjust as soon as you are in front of the camera.
Please have fly-aways tamed especially on top and sides of hair.

HAIR
Think light, fresh and natural make-up!
Avoid heavy eye make-up, no stage makeup. You may want to add a little extra for the dance shots since they are full body.
When choosing a lip color, avoid shiny lip glosses since the hair will stick. Choose a matte/silky lipstick, this is more flattering for photos. For the younger dancers, a good natural lip is best.

You may choose to shoot your Headshot & Editorial Shot in the same outfit, if you prefer.
WE WILL HAVE <PINK> and <YELLOW> Backgrounds.
For headshots, choose a flattering top in a solid color. Avoid florals, bold patterns, and neon colors, which can photograph too brightly or affect skin tones.
Photos are framed from the waist up, so consider how your pants sit at the waist. Choose a waistband that lies flat and doesn’t bunch.
Please avoid sheer or mesh fabrics, dance leotards, and dance tops. Keep jewelry minimal; small earrings are fine.
Before your shoot, steam your clothing and give it a quick pass with a lint roller.

For your EDITORIAL LOOK we recommend the following:
DENIUM & WHITE outfits.
WE WILL SHOOT EDITORIAL ON <WHITE> BACKGROUND.
Clean sneakers that are not dirty and will not soil the paper when shooting.
You may wish to bring a hat, sunglasses, props, we will have chairs from the studio to pose on as well.
We will allow 3-4 editorial poses, so prepare some variety.
Please take the time to put together a captivating look. This will help us create a successful shoot with timeless photos.
